Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Our Sunday worship begins at 11am.

You’ll find a mix of fashion at our church: Blazers, blue jeans, khakis, t-shirts, dresses, tennis shoes and high heels.  It doesn't matter to us. Just, please, wear something.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Your children are a blessing to us! We think it’s important that they participate in the church’s worship with everyone else. If, though, there’s a Sunday your child needs a quick trip to the nursery, please make use of it. Heck, we could all use a quick trip to the nursery from time to time

Yes, we believe Holy Communion should be available to all people--we call it an open table. If you are with us on a Communion Sunday (Usually, the first Sunday of each month), you are invited to participate–that includes children.

The pastor takes time to meet with anyone desiring to become a member of Kelsey. Within those conversations, we discuss our expectations of discipleship (prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness) and what it means to be baptized into the church.

We only audio record our weekly messages. You can find them here on our website and on our Facebook page.  Check out our You Tube channel for recorded services. We do live stream our worship through a private Facebook group.

Learning to pray, understanding the Bible and supporting our community are what's most important to us.

So, we have special prayer times throughout the year.

We host a weekly Sunday school class for all ages, every Sunday at 9am. There is a Wednesday night group that discusses the weekly message from our pastor. Our men's group has a monthly breakfast & Bible study.

We host several events throughout the year to serve our community (School supply drive, school clothes drive, Thanksgiving dinner, monthly food pantry, to name a few).

Most of our activities are free. From time to time, we host fundraisers and other special events that require a donation or free.

Safe Gatherings is a policy we have adopted to ensure our children vulnerable adults are cared for. The policy outlines our ministry practices. For more info, visit https://riotexas.org/safe
